The Vaka Cruise and the Aitutaki Lagoon Dinner Cruise are products marketed by Paradise Islands Limited.

The Aitutaki Day Tour is a product marketed by Air Rarotonga Limited which directly provides the Air Transport Service between Rarotonga and Aitutaki and the accompanying Tour Guide and bundles this with ground Transport Services in both Rarotonga and Aitutaki as well as the Lagoon Cruise operated by Pacific Islands Limited.

THE VAKA CRUISE – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions apply to all guests booking a tour with Paradise Islands including online sales at the website www.thevakacruise.com

They form part of the contract between you – our guest – and us – Paradise Islands Limited, a company with its registered office in the Cook Islands, and operating pursuant to the laws of the Cook Islands.

PRIVACY

To facilitate online purchases with Paradise Islands, we need to collect information from you through our website. We collect registration information that you provide when you book your tour, including your first name and surname, country of residence, email address. The security and confidentiality of your information are extremely important to us. We will not share your personal information outside Paradise Islands.

PAYMENTS

Bookings made through the Web Site //www.thevakacruise.com or the Rezdy public site //thevakacruise.rezdy.com require a credit card at the time of booking and the card will be charged at this time in order to confirm any reservation.

All rates are quoted are in New Zealand Dollars, and include 15% VAT and all other service fees.

After payment has been made and/or an invoice has been issued, the price is guaranteed against any surcharge unless a price increase is due to government laws or currency changes.

AMENDING/CHANGING A BOOKING

You may amend your tour bookings without penalty up to and including the day prior to your booking. To amend a booking, please send us the request via e-mail at [email protected] or call +682 53294 and refer to your original booking confirmation number. Alternatively you can also use the CONTACT form on our web site //www.thevakacruise.com. If you booked through an agent such as your Hotel or a travel agency, the agent will be able to amend or cancel your booking on line.

CANCELLATIONS

Paradise Islands reserves the right to cancel any tour due to bad weather, lagoon conditions, or other extenuating operational factors. In this event you will be offered the choice of a full refund or re-booking on an alternative date.

You may cancel your booking up until the day before tour departure without penalty.

If you booked though and agent such as your Hotel or a travel agency, the agent will be able to cancel your reservation on line and refund you.

DEFINITION OF CHILDREN AND INFANTS

Children and Infants enjoy specific discounts on the prices for our products and these discounts are based on the guest’s age as follows:

Child: A person who has reached his/her 5th birthday but not his/her 12th birthday (i.e. between the ages of 5 to 11 inclusive) as of the date of travel.

Infant: A person who has not reached his/her fifth birthday as of the date of travel.

These above definitions do not apply to any tour products involving flights!

 

LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

Paradise Islands will not bear any liability for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness or changes in schedule caused by weather or other natural phenomena, or any other irregularity outside the company’s control, including consequential losses and expenses.

It is recommended that guests have current travel insurance covering cancellation fees and accidents.

You must follow the advice of the crew at all times and follow any safety instructions including lagoon swimming and snorkeling areas, and the use of safety equipment.

Towels and snorkeling equipment are provided and must be left on board when leaving the vessel.

You are welcome to bring snack foods or any special dietary requirements on board. However you are not permitted to bring your own alcohol. A bar service is provided with a range of reasonably priced beverages.

While your crew will take the best care, you remain responsible for your personal property including valuables and electronics you take on board with you.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

If required by Te Marae Ora (the Cook Islands Ministry of Health) we may be required to substitute the buffet lunch on board with a set menu service offering you the same quality local fare delivered to your table by our friendly crew.
